KIMBERLY CALDWELL is a singer, actress, and television personality who gained national recognition during her time on the second season of the television phenomenon, "American Idol," and is also known for her work as an entertainment correspondent and host for the TV Guide Network.
While on "American Idol," Kimberly was an instant fan favorite, finishing among the top finalists competing for the title. Following her run on the smash second season of "American Idol" which had nearly tripled the average viewership of the first season, Kimberly started working as a correspondent for the entertainment/extreme sports program "54321" on FOX Sports Network. She covered various events and movie premieres for the show before joining her fellow "Idol" finalists on the road for the "Idols Live!" tour, which played to huge crowds in 44 cities across the United States. Kimberly was soon picked up by TV Guide Network to be their "American Idol" correspondent for the show's third season and quickly found herself a staple on the network, hosting various specials and covering a wide variety of awards shows from the red carpet for the network including the Grammy's, the Academy Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the Emmy's, and the Golden Globes. Today, she continues to appear frequently on the network, co-hosting several weekly talk programs including "Reality Chat," and, during "Idol" season, "Idol Wrap" and "Idol Tonight," the exclusive pre-show to "American Idol" on Wednesday nights. In addition to hosting for the TV Guide Network, Kimberly has also frequently appeared on a variety of other programs as a special "Idol" correspondent including "Glenn Beck," "MSNBC News Live," "Showbiz Tonight," "Rita Cosby," and "Fox News Live." She continues to pursue this side of entertainment and is currently filming a mini-series where she will appear opposite John Schneider ("Dukes of Hazzard"). She will also soon be seen as the host of the new Mark Burnett CBS gameshow, "Jingles." (Premiering this fall; date TBD) Kimberly's first love continues to be music and she is presently writing and recording songs for her debut album.
